Road bikes are bicycles designed to take you as far and as fast as your legs can manage on paved surfaces. The road bike gets its name from the terrain it is designed to be used on – the road. At first glance, the road bike hasn’t changed a great deal over the years. Compared to a complex full-suspension mountain bike, it’s a traditional bicycle with a near-identical silhouette to those raced 50 years ago. Of course, there’s nothing traditional about the carbon fibre frames and electronic 24-speed drivetrains we see now on high-end machines. Modern bikes are faster, more comfortable and more technologically sophisticated than ever before.

How is expensive road bikes are better than the cheap one?
    This is a good question. Actually, most pricey bicycles are better than the cheap ones, but the most expensive one is not always the best one.
    It depends on your use, if you are going to ride the bike to work, do normal exercise, and not be really serious about the weight, the speed, and the look, you should go for a cheap or a normal price. But when you are getting more serious about riding a bike, or you're going for a bike race, that's when you need a good bike.
    A good bike is usually a pricey bike because it's made from better materials, and the brand's technology makes it lighter, stiffer and have better components which makes you go faster and less force you need to make.
