The original MTB group continues its legacy of remaining the standard for mountain bikers everywhere. Nearly three decades in, the Deore XT brand is defined by its trail-tested durability, reliability and performance. As mountain biking becomes faster and faster and the terrain even more technical, the M8100 series aims to give the rider the necessary feeling of confidence and safety.

Following the principle of passing on the experiences and technologies of the top series, the Deore XT incorporates the innovations of the high-end XTR components. Accordingly the new 12-speed groupset features of course Micro Spline and Hyperglide+.

Shimano Deore XT FC-M8100 crankset

For all those who are drawn to unknown terrain, the Shimano Deore XT FC-M8100 2x12-speed crankset offers the ultimate range for all eventualities. The chainring ratio with 36 to 26 teeth in combination with the 10-45 teeth cassette (sold separately) offers almost unlimited possibilities to tackle any imaginable terrain while low gear jumps still keep the cadence constant.

To ensure an efficient power transmission, the 2-speed crankset offers not only a rigid but, thanks to its hollow-forged crank arms, also light design. For a quick and secure chainring installation, the crank for aggressive Trail riding features a Direct Mount system. Thanks to the chainring's Dynamic Chain Engagement+ technology, the FC-M8100-2 crankset holds the chain safely even on rough terrain and guarantees at the same time an efficient, smooth and quiet drivetrain.
