Now 11-speed, new DEORE XT M8000 brings powerful, dynamic performance that establishes a new benchmark for mountain bike excellence. With DYNA-SYS11 Shimano encourages modern mountain bikers to ride anywhere with its advanced gearing concept that helps maintain rider efficiency.
The XT M8000 front derailleurs receives a complete makeover. Debuting on XTR M9000, the light and crisp shift action of the DEORE XT SIDE SWING front derailleur (FD-M8020 2x11 or FD-M8000 3x11 option) has been designed with long travel trail bikes in mind. Both M8000 derailleurs bring a drastic reduction in shift effort with efficient cable routing and enhanced stability, while also increasing tire clearance allowing for shorter chainstays. High clamp, low clamp, D-type and E-type mounting options are available. Properties of this derailleur Fitting for shifting: 2x11-speed Mounting: Low Clamp Construction type: Side-Swing Cable route type: Front Pull Clamp diameter 34,9 mm with adapter 28,6/31,8 mm. Side-Swing Thanks to the Side-Swing technologie the shift performance of the front derailleur can be increased by 100 percent. Designed specifically with modern trail bikes in mind it provides 15mm of increased tyre clearance whilst new cable routing dramatically reduces the shifting effort. Note: Because of the front position of the coiling cable bushing at the front derailleur, the shifting cable must be installed inside or above the down tube.
