The long awaited Shimano XT 11 speed drivetrain has made its grand entrance and to celebrate the Shimano XT 11-speed cranks turn on an updated bottom bracket that reduces both the weight and bearing drag, while improving its performance in muddy conditions. Through Shimano’s proven Hollowtech ll technology, the XT M8000 Crankarms receive a shot of stiffness and more weight savings. Additionally, the asymmetrical bolt pattern strategically places the strength spots where the most pedal force is exerted, providing more stability and trail-crushing responsiveness.

The 2x11 model of the XT M8000 rethinks its two rings, expanding the range of gears to maintain a better cadence when paired with an 11-40T cassette. The chainrings are precisely carved to optimize the teeth for the specific 2x11 chainwheel load, both improving chain retention and prolonging the lifespan of the teeth.
