The AKA 29in tires are Vittoria’s high-performance XC race tire. The low-profile tread is directional to provide plenty of grip with very little rolling resistance, and wide spacing between the slim lugs sheds mud and loose dirt quickly to keep the tire functioning as efficiently as possible. Low-profile, aggressive corner lugs provide sharp, predictable handling. It's also available in two sizes: a super-speedy two-inch width or a burlier, gripper 2.3-inches. 

Tread, however, is only one part of the tire story. Almost as important is the casing underneath. Vittoria TNT (TubesNoTubes) casing is made from a 120 TPI cloth — quite supple by mountain bike standards. The sidewalls are reinforced with nylon to minimize cuts and folding when riding at low pressure to take full advantage of the tires' tubeless capabilities.
