Bianchi Oltre RC Frameset Information

The Bianchi Oltre RC is a complete redesign of the Oltre, resulting in their fastest and most efficient aero bike yet. The engineers at Reparto Corse came together to create an integrated machine that can ride and race at the highest level of cycling. They refer to the Oltre RC as a “hyperbike” referencing its pure speed and power. The goal of the Oltre is to create the perfect athlete-bike system. Bianchi realizes that details of the bike are important, but the position the bike puts the rider in is even more important. Bianchi Oltre RC is the new pinnacle of Bianchi aero riding and is ready to dominate both the pro tour and your next ride.

This bike is made for aero performance in the real world, not just the wind tunnel. Their Air Deflector Technology reduces drag from all directions and directs it efficiently around the cockpit. Bianchi took inspiration from other industries such as aerospace, automotive, and architecture to find the best ways to control airflow. Rather than simply creating an aero shape, they chose to guide air to very specific areas of the frame for maximum real world speed. All of this is done without compromising the low weight of the bike which when fully built up comes in at about 6.85 kg in size 55. The new Oltre is truly an all-around road superbike.

Compared to the Oltre XR4, the new Oltre is better by virtually every metric. It saves 17.1 watts at 50 km/hr compared to its predecessor so you can ride faster for longer. It also features a 5.1 percent improvement in crosswinds and drops 45 seconds over a 40 km distance. A huge part of these improvements come from the cockpit and rider positioning. The bike is only responsible for about 20 percent of aero drag, so Bianchi designed the Oltre to keep the rider in a position that reduces as much of that remaining 80 percent as possible. There is also a new Reporto Corse integrated bar/stem combo pairs perfectly with this frame when purchased separately. Reporto Corse is responsible for a matching saddle and wheels as well, giving you a chance at a unique setup that can challenge the wind. The Bianchi Oltre RC is here to bond rider with bike and put on all-time best performances.
